The Hunt For Detergent

At the beginning of the month, my maid told me that the detergent for the washing machine was going to finish soon. When hubby went to Tesco to get some sundries, he couldn't find the one that we normally use - Dynamo Low Suds (ours is the front load type). We also tried Giant and the Chinese medicine shop - don't have.

On Tuesday, I found out from my maid that she's started to use the normal Dynamo (blue colour) for machine wash. I was a bit worried it'll produce too much bubbles if we use the normal amount of detergent. And the rinsing cycle may not be able to clean the clothes thoroughly. Luckily she used lesser than usual.

So after picking XY up from her kindy, I went to Billion to try my luck. Still don't have. Have they discontinued the product? Looked like it's out of stock everywhere. I had no choice but to change to another brand. I bought Top, which can be used for both front and top load washing machine. Hmmm... I wonder if it smells different.

Hah, same situation here. We've been using the orange color pack Dynamo low suds but lately, can't find them, so out of no choice, we bought the blue one.

Actually, do you find much difference between front and top loading washing machine? For me, I'm not really particular which brand of detergent to use. All seems about the same to me.

Looks like Top brand are among the famous detergent brand over Dynamo. To me it is better that the detergent can clean the cloth rather than having good smell.

alamak! I use only Trojan powder type even with a front loader... never pour anything in washing machine as we pre-soak the clothes and wash with hands and brush if needed before tossing into washing machine. With or without a maid this method still apply... personally I found that it's more clean. I don't have particular preferences on detergent though... coz they are only for one purpose and normally I'll use the 'purest" form if possible, eg: no additive, no super bright or super nice smell type... LOL!

Ling, I was afraid the smell of the detergent is so strong it'll cover the smell of the softener. hehehe But TOP is ok. :)

Sue, the old one in Kj town's still surviving and they've got a new one in Semenyih.

Wen, as long as it works for ur machine.

Siew Ting, yeah... hv reminded her many times.
