After pumping the medicine into his mouth, he likes to use the syringe to drink water. So I let him play with the syringe. He fills up the syringe himself and pumps the water into his mouth. He won't stop till the bowl or cup is empty.

u know wat, think CE is enjoying playing with the syringe. haha... so he sanggup finiz the med. good lar... hehehehehe :)
He has grown up! My gals were like that too. When they were babies, it was really a traumatic time for both my kids and me to feed them meds. We needed at least 3 ppl and an hour to make them swallow their meds. As they grew (and also became sick more often after going to preschool), they have also learnt to eat meds w/o any probs.... provided there are treats to go with the meds!
it is a definitely a fun way for CE to drink water. Hope he gets well soon :)
Sometimes my boy will refuse to drink water, but when uses the syringe, he will drink without must fuss..
Hope CE get well soon..

Happy Weekend.. =)
Hi Slavemom, this might influence him to become a doctor when he grows up, ha ha.
Hope everything okay now. Best regards, Lee.
Wow... well done CE!
I wish my boy will take his medicine willingly without any screaming and struggling...
Oh..and just to share an experience...many doctors like to prescribe antibiotics whether necessary or not. It will actually weaken the child's own immunity over time. Antibiotics are only good for baterial infection and in most cases, the kids are attacked by virus, hence no need for antibiotics. So, next time, you may wish to confirm with the doc before giving it to the kids :)
get well soon to your boy!
i think so. no more tears!
maybe there are truth behind the saying "things will get easier when u let the kids participate hands on" !!
no more sweat edi ....good boy!!
haha.. you are happy, he's happy, everybody happy.
