After we came out of the cinema, we went straight to Green Box Karaoke. We were charged 2 headcount at RM26++ per person. Free for kids below 140cm in height. We had free flow of drinks (soft drinks, juices, coffee, etc) and snacks (6 types). I only chose 2 types for the kids as the others are spicy or looked uninteresting. :D They ate a lot of junk food that day. I think they've exceeded their quota for two whole weeks. But no choice, that's the only thing to keep them occupied. We also had our (late) lunch there. Ordered fried rice and cheese and ham sandwich. The rice was too oily for my liking but hubby said not bad.
~ junk food party -- see how he stuffed himself with
the snacks; the hand on the right belongs to jie jie ~

There was a games session for the customers at the main area but only 3 groups turned up. We didn't win the lucky draw (don't know what's the prize) but hubby won the drinking contest -- to gulp down the soda drink in the shortest time. The prize is a bottle of sparkling juice.
Honestly, it's not so enjoyable bringing the kids to karaoke because they're very noisy. When they're not singing or eating, they can't sit still. We should have expected that, right? Anyway, it's an experience for us. But no more next time.

karaoke is too soon for young children..may be next time..
my neighbour and I brought our kids to green box karaoke too and let them sing their heart out. it is cheap and fun yeah...
That's interesting.. might try karaoke next time. Do they have children's songs?
That's actually a very good suggestion: bringing kids karaokeing - they can make as much noise as they want! sounds like you guys had a whole lot of fun!
Eh, now got Green Box Karaoke?..I thot Red Box...heheh. I don't think I wanna bring my gal to karaoke, she's also very noisy and cannot sit still wan.
been to movies and karaoke eh!!!
Nice outings!
nvm ... let them expereince karaoka .... free what ....
At least you dared to bring them to the movies & karaoke!
hehe.....CE was really stuffing his face with snacks yah!
i also brought my kid to karaoke recently for his first time. :)
Haha...snacks is our secret weapon hor. At least you had experience the K-session with your kids. My Hubby hates Karaoke..so you won't find us going there..hehe.
CE is really stuffing himself with all the snacks. So good opportunity..sure wallop "kau kau" lah.
eh why no next time? cus of junk food ah? hahaha... once awhile ok la :)
Fun activity..
I'm yet to bring Dillon (turning 4 this Dec) to cinema, I'm not confident if he would sit still throughout to watch the whole movie......
You did everything which I didn't!
*pout*
Kids wanted to watch G-Force, we didn't agree.
Kids wanted to 'experience' KTV, we rejected.
What parents we are!!!
*Huge Laugh*
Hey! You reminded me that it's been years I never been to Karaoke. I miss the feeling of holding a mic while singing. Hahaha......
And, I never brought Elizabeth there too. Feel like trying. Hahaha.....
not bad for yr little boy to stay put nearly for the whole movie :D
as for karaoke, if it's in a private room it shd be ok, just let them roam ard the room & i'm sure yr voice over the microfon will be louder than the kids...hehe, no?? but RM26 for drinks n snacks bit exp've hor...
Good experience, so far I only bring the boy to karaoke n he has all jolly time on snack and juice...to keep him occupied...I think is still fine for them to monkey in the room as long as not fight the mic..
Just look at your boy junking away! He looks like he's competing for the "who is the fastest junk food eater competition!!!". I bet u sang OLD MC DONALD, right? ABCD...and lots of kiddy songs?
RM26++ per two head counts is consider good deal hor. I love karaoke, we used to bring my girl to karaoke quite often, so far so good.
We were deciding between G-Force and Meatballs, we watched meatballs instead. Maybe I will get the G-Force VCD.
sure no more next time hahaha? but it does sounds FUN except for the junk food part hahaha...
wow, didnt know the kids love singing!
as for me, i miss goig karaokes cos i cant bring my 2 yr old daughter along!
Chin Nee, it's cheaper during w/days lunch time.
Priscilla, they do. I oni chked out the Eng ones. Not sure abt Chinese children songs.
Irene, coz they make so much noise, it's not enjoyable for the adults. :)
Karen, if u don't try, u'll nvr know. Dillon may actually surprise u. ;)
Jac, it's more exp on w/ends n after 2pm. The kids were oso holding a mic n shouting into it. So whose is louder? hehehe
Olive, I left the singing of kiddy songs to ah girl. :)
Serene, RM26++ is for 1 person.
i salute u for your daring to bring the kiddies to karaoke! hehehee. i too agree that junkfood snacks is the best way to keep em quiet! :p
At least you have brought both of them to Karaoke before. For me, I think I wont do that until Sarah turned to be a kid. I am sure she will cry when she hear the loud sound system.
No wonder they love the snack. I have tested it before and it taste lil salty and crunchy.
