Impressive Service

Remember the card I asked hubby to send for me? Which I missed out the postcode when I wrote the address? Well, I was very sure it's not going to reach my mom. Or even if it does, it'll be way past her birthday. So I sent another card (different design) by courier the day before her birthday so that it'll reach her the next day.

When I called mom to wish her, she told me I gave her a scare by sending TWO cards. She thought I was so absent-minded that I forgot I've already sent a card, thus sending another one. :-| She didn't realise about the incomplete address. I told her I'm quite blur at times, but not to the extent of forgetting what I've done. hahaha

I'm really impressed with our postal service. Even without a postcode, they processed it as normal, without any delays. So this year, mom got double the wishes. :-)

Happy Belated Bday to your mum.

Hmm, probably your mum's house is easy to find, so without the postcode, they wouldnt get lost.

I guess our postal services IS getting better. But then again, packages do disappear still, prolly there's nothing valuable about a piece of card to some postmen that's why they don't bother making it disappear :P.

Hi Slavemom, ha ha, I bet your mom did get worried too.

I some years back received a faded letter with only my name, no address. This letter was written in Penang more than 30 years ago, and after 30 years found me here in Canada.

And surprisingly, letters, cards take 11 to 12 days to arrive Malaysia from here.

You have a pleasant weekend, Lee.

i think postcode omitted is just a small problem, i ever received a letter which the address was in wrong spelling.

You know, I have received many letters which are not ours. The address stated is not even our address.

hey...u must hv a very good r/ship with dearest mom heh, i've never send card to mom wor...but she's just living next taman lar, hahaha

emmm...i normally believe these ppl in pos don't really see d postcode wan lor...i think they read & rely on d address more(jalan apa, taman apa) so even without postcode, i do believe d mail will get to d destination!!
