Ballet Mock Exam

XY had a mock exam yesterday. Since she's got short hair, it can't be bun up. Her hair has to be gelled up, with no hair covering her forehead and face. I just used whatever gel (styling wax) I can find at home. But it didn't have a very strong hold. So I used some colourful clips (don't have black ones) to hold her hair in place.

She came back without the clips on her hair. PaPa told me they said her hair's not 'tidy' enough. And only black clips are allowed. So PaPa bought the extra strong hold gel when he went out later in the evening. We were also notified of the 2nd mock exam. I didn't know there'll be another one before the exam (end of April). Looks like ballet exam is a serious business.

I wonder how she did in the mock exam. We should be getting the feedback later. But I heard it's not too difficult to get through the Pre-primary level. One good thing is she's not terrified of the exam. She was looking forward to the mock one. :D

~ before going for her mock exam ~

Ballet is an expensive activity. She started learning in April last year. As early as 6 months before the exam, she has to attend classes twice a week (to prepare for the exam). Apart from paying for the almost doubled fees, it's somewhat troublesome to send her twice a week (instead of once). Most of the time, PaPa is the driver. Then for her exam, we've to pay for the new attires because she has to wear short sleeved leotard (current one is sleeveless) and a different coloured tutu. I don't mind getting new socks though as her old ones are loose (at the ankle) already. Luckily we didn't have to get new shoes.

She looks adorable. Maybe hair spray would be better.

Maybe it's time to grow her hair long...so you can bun it up.

Actually, when I was a kid I used to learn ballet for awhile...but then stopped after FALLING ASLEEP in class one day. Heheheh

Rachel, Pre-primary.

NomadicMom, she jes cut them short 1 mth ago. I prefer her with short hair, easier to manage.

Chin Nee, really? Got scientific evidence or not? hehehe

Jo, let Nyn attend the trial class. If she enjoys it, y not?

Irene, errr... mana I tau lah. :)

Jac, PaPa nvr said such thing wor. Really look like me ah?
Purposely dun do h/work one coz that's wat mock exams r for mah. :p

June, the most important is her interest. If Rachael enjoys it, I'm sure daddy will happily send her for lessons.
