Jigsaw Puzzles

~ so preoccupied with the puzzle ~

CE likes to play with jigsaw puzzles. His first piece was Sesame Street. Jie jie did it together with him. I was quite amazed that he was able to put them together after a few tries. He doesn't seem to get bored with it. Sometimes when Kakak is busy, I'll ask him to wait for me in the room while I take a quick shower. He'll be happily doing the puzzle while waiting for me. Usually, he would have completed it before I'm done so he'll just mess up the room with books and flash cards. :D

Then I bought him a small Barney puzzle. Playing puzzles is one of the rare moments that he'll stay still for a long while to finish it. I wanted to get more puzzles but can't seem to find them where I normally shop (was not actively looking anyway). Recently, I saw some bigger Barney puzzles at Jusco Serdang so I quickly grabbed 4. There are 8 designs altogether. Well, it's pretty easy for XY. So the li'l teacher was happily guiding didi while playing together (when they're not fighting over it). After a few rounds, CE was able to put them together too, with some occasional help.

  7. MeRy, I bot the small one from Jusco Cheras Selatan, big ones from Jusco Tmn Equine, Serdang but I think not all outlets hv them. The 40-pc ones cost RM2.90 each, the small one too, if not mistaken.

Anggie, he's oni patient enuf to finish the small ones. For the big ones, he'll try to finish them oni if there's some1 there to accompany him. Otherwise, he'll jes do some part n leave everything scattered all over the floor. :-|
Yeah, shld start with the simple ones, like the small Barney, just 9 pcs. I got it from Jusco Cheras Selatan but can't find them anymore recently.

Ivy, good idea with the wooden ones coz more lasting. He likes to peel off the pic from the cardbod. :-|

    Doreen, RM2.90 each.

Annie, I'm wondering how long this interest will last. :)

  16. Hi Slavemom, the best presents for kids are jigsaw puzzles.
I remember young days, my mom would make them, she cut out old cartoons from mags or papers, paste them on hard paper, then she cuts them up into funny shapes...I sure had fun, she too.

Jigsaws makes kids think as well solve things.
    Best regards, Lee.

  23. Irene, the Elmo one is a free gift from Enfagrow many many yrs back.

Hui Sia, so funny lah ur description of ur 'leech'. :D

June, u'd be surprised at her good memory. Maybe if u start with the vy simple ones (say, 9 pcs), she can put them together after showing her a few times. Hv fun!

    Serene, thx for dropping by!

    BabyBooned, I love Gib's answer. He's so creative. ;)

Sasha, when he's bored, he'll bang my door too.

Jo-N, now Nyn'll hv more things to play.

Joanne, we do it together, just showed him where to put the pcs. Actually jie jie is the main guide. She likes to show him how it's done. After many tries, he eventually got it.
